This Is Not a Government Office. New Mexico Court Records is a private reference site. We cannot pull official documents, file paperwork, change a case, or issue certified copies. Contact the New Mexico court, county clerk, law-enforcement office, or statewide agency that holds the record.

Need an Official Document?

New Mexico has no single clerk who can issue every record. Use the county directory for the court or county tied to a case, marriage license, probate file, local jail, or warrant. Court pleadings and decrees come from the clerk of the court where the case was filed. County clerks hold marriage licenses and recorded county documents.

Some records use statewide agencies. The New Mexico Corrections Department Offender Search covers people under state corrections authority, not county or city jails. The New Mexico Department of Public Safety Law Enforcement Records Bureau handles state law-enforcement record functions. The Motor Vehicle Division supplies driver histories. The Department of Health does not issue marriage or divorce copies, so those requests return to the appropriate county clerk or District Court.
